Pioneer School District is pleased to announce the launch of a Native Education Program aligned with guidance from the Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI).

This program supports the academic success and cultural well-being of students who qualify under OSPI’s Native Education Program criteria. Eligible students include those who are enrolled members of a federally recognized tribe, descendants of tribal members, or who otherwise meet OSPI eligibility requirements.

To enroll, parents or legal guardians must complete the Indian Student Eligibility Certification Form (Title VI 506 Form) using the link provided. After completing the form, please print, sign, and submit it to the Pioneer School District Office. Forms may be delivered in person or sent with your student to the District Office. Once the form is received and reviewed, the District will contact families to confirm enrollment and share program information.

Participation in the Native Education Program is voluntary. Parents and students are not required to participate.

The program will focus on:
• Supporting academic achievement and graduation pathways
• Promoting culturally responsive instruction
• Strengthening partnerships with local tribes and Native communities
• Integrating tribal history, culture, and sovereignty into learning
• Providing mentorship and engagement opportunities

For questions or assistance with the certification process, please contact the District Office at 360.426.9115 x 3002.
